Magazines aren't lost in today's social media craving world. As a matter of fact, I'm always glad when I go to a waiting room that offers magazines to browse through. Family Fun was my favorite when my kiddos were younger. There are always bespoke magazines like GQ and Vogue available for our viewing pleasure at Books-A-Million. What I usually look through is Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart Living, and Family Circle.
Regardless of my tastes, those big name magazines have always had epic imagery for advertising. How can you not notice the first several pages of them when all you see is the Louis Vouton handbag over the shoulder of a model on a full page ad or the man sailing a yacht across the ocean in his head to toe Ralph Lauren outfit? The images are always on point. No doubt that when the photographer had the assignment to create an advertisement they didn't only shoot one image. In fact, I'd venture to say there were more than five images to choose from for that single page in a magazine.
Why does that matter to you? First of all, the images in magazines are usually lifestyle photography. They are taken with intent. The model may be looking directly at the camera, out a window, at their laptop, or over their shoulder. Their location may be in a studio setting, but it's often out by a cottage, downtown, on a beach, or in a field. When we plan your Personal Branding Session we will discuss the intent you have for your images.
There will always be a plan to get the most out of having your images work for you. If we're designing for your website, your social media, or even just your profile I will take the time to ask the right questions so that what you envision becomes reality. This is all about you!
Your Brand Is Unique!
It doesn't matter that there are other people in the same city or are in the same profession as you. It doesn't matter that there are others who offer the same kind of services in your area. What does matter is that you understand that YOU are what makes you different. You are not like everybody else. You are one of a kind.
Shortly after we book your experience I'll send you details about what our time together will look like. It will include questions about what you do, what your clients enjoy, where you find them, and how we're going to mesh all that together to make your images connect with your ideal client. We'll do it in a lifestyle type session so that your brand images speak to your potential clients. You can be that Louis Vouton handbag model or the model who walks across a field with a faraway look.
What you imagine, we can create together.
Still uncertain if Personal Brand Photography is right for you? Contact me here and I'll help you make an informed decision. As a matter of fact, I may not be the photographer you're looking for. I keep a network of other photographers that know Brand Photography that I can refer you to if that's a better decision for you. But, how will you know if you never ask?
Meet my amazingly handsome husband who I was able to photograph as my model when we took a vacation to Florida. We lucked out with the sunshine after the rain. And this lovely spot was just a couple of blocks from our resort. It was perfect for our scenic session. My only regret is that my hair is naturally curly, which equals extremely frizzy in high humidity, so I wasn't model material that week. lol
Do you have visions of a beachy vibe? We can do that. What locations would you like to be photographed at? Tell me in the comments.
