Recently I shared my likes with you. Today, I'm going the opposite direction:
- the smell of coffee
- being cold
- getting my feet wet when I have socks on
- having insomnia; which I tend to get because I don't know how to turn off my thoughts
- burnt food
- wearing shoes; they're a necessary evil that come off as soon as I walk into my house
- bad breath
- waiting; especially if I have an appointment
- rude / sour people
- the smell of a wet dog
- dusty things; although I am guilty of going too long without dusting
- swearing; there are much more intelligent words that can be used
- b.o.
- the smell of fresh cut grass
- when people misspell any of the homophones; like there, their, and they're
Pretty sure this one could go on, but I don't like sour people and I can feel myself souring as I think about all the things I'd rather not be around. When I was in grade school, there was a teacher that had us bring our work up to the front so she could look it over. I'll never forget the smell of her breath. It was foul; a combination of coffee and cigarettes. To me, it was dreadful to have to be so close and have her say anything. I'm a big proponent of breath mints.
The burnt corned beef was a sad affair. The recipe said to use a cast iron skillet for best results, which I did. It also suggested the heat be set at medium-high to high heat. We have a gas stove, so I went with medium-high. Unfortunately, that was too high. Burnt food just doesn't taste as good as it does when it's cooked just right. Don't you agree?
When you come to my freshly dusted studio, I will greet you with minty fresh breath. Sometimes it's the little things.
Till we meet,
Zoe
