Before we moved here, I met some neat people online. There are all kinds of groups on Facebook that you can connect with. Fortunately, I've been able to meet some of them face to face since we arrived, at Meet Ups or by working with them. One of my new favorite people is being featured today. This is my friend Amanda. She has ambition! After graduating high school she decided she wanted to be an actress and pursued that goal. Not only did she get accepted in New York, but while she was there, also decided to venture into modeling. Now she's a full-time actress and model. Amanda has been able to travel from NYC, LA, Atlanta, Portland, New Orleans, OKC, plus, and is currently in Texas so her husband can pursue his desire of becoming an EMT/Paramedic. In 2011 coaching models gave her some time off to be a mom.
While here in Texas, she's been managing area models. Audra is one of them. Audra's gig the day we shot Amanda's behind the scenes session, was for a modeling magazine. They were creating a Doll shoot. Mind you, when I agreed to capture Amanda shooting, I didn't understand what a "Junk Doll shoot" was. It's obvious when you see the images, that she looks like a live doll that's been discarded. Her make-up, hair, and outfit were on point with her session. "House of Sutton" was the wardrobe designer. It was really fun to watch the crowd of wedding guests at The Foundry in downtown Tyler gather around to watch them. One little girl even wanted to get closer; she was in awe.
Before we met Audra, it was just Amanda and I...well, kind of. Amanda puts her family first, just like I do, which might be one of the reasons we hit it off. You'll notice an adorable little pig tailed girl under a table in one of these images, that's Amanda's daughter. Little girl is a model for several online boutiques and is currently interviewing with agencies for representation. In the same image you'll see a nice guy holding a reflector, Amanda's husband. If they're going to be around, they're going to get put to work, right?
In December of 2017 Amanda started diving back into her work. I took some headshots and personal branding images for her to put on her website and social media. Its obvious that she knows what she's doing in front of the camera because of her modeling. The outfit she chose flattered her nicely. Her skin is flawless and her eyes are gorgeous. Normally we would have had a few outfit changes as well as locations, but we were pressed for time. We talked and laughed during our session. She left me the sweetest review on Facebook.
Audra has done several modeling sessions with Amanda at the helm. If you'd like to follow Amanda's work, on Instagram please do so @Amanda2Dempsey. She also has a modeling handle @AmandaDempseysModels. You can see more of Audra's work and personal images @audr_a.
Whether you're a photographer, a model, or an artist there is always a good reason to have great images of YOU. What separates you from your competition? You do. I'd appreciate the opportunity to speak with you more about personal branding images and how they can help you reach your ideal clients.
Blessings,
Zoe
